Domain Tunnel and road closures Saturday night 6 July 2008
For your traveling convenience, please be advised that the Domain Tunnel will be closed from 9:00pm Saturday, 6 July until 9:00am the following morning.
There will be additional road closures as per following:
Batman Avenue Eastbound between Swan Street and Punt Road will be closed from 11:45 until 1:00am
Punt Road exit ramp Westbound will be closed from 1:30am until 3:30am
Batman Avenue exit ramp Eastbound will be closed from 3:30am until 5:30am
These road closures are a part of our ongoing commitment to the quality and safety of your travel. Please be assured that we have planned these closures to minimise any inconvenience to you.
There will be a fully signed detour routes on the roadside. The detour routes are as per following:
9:00pm to 3:30am via Batman Avenue, Swan Street, Alexandra Ave and Power Street
3:30am to 5:30am via Punt Road, Swan Street, Alexandra Avenue and Power Street
5:30am to 9:00am via Batman Avenue, Swan Street, Alexandra Ave, and Power Street
Eastbound
11:45pm to 1:00am via Swan Street and Punt Road
If you are travelling on the Monash Freeway toward the West Gate Freeway (city-bound), to avoid the Domain tunnel, simply get off at Batman Avenue, cross Swan Street Bridge and use City Road followed by Power Street to reach the West Gate on-ramp.
